Welcome to HBBC Children's Ministries. The Children's ministry is designed to help kids ages 4 through 12 years old to hear and accept the gospel of Jesus Christ and to grow in their spiritual walk. This is accomplished through sound teaching from the Bible with capable adult teachers. Along with the teaching, music is also used to encourage and strengthen each child. We include memorizing God's word.

Matthew 19:14 "Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbib them not, to come unto me: For of such is the kingdom of Heaven." According to this verse Jesus loves each and every boy and girl. He told us that unless we come to Him with child like faith and be saved, we will never go to Heaven. Jesus desires for all people to be saved. Eighty five percent of those who get saved do so by the age of twelve. So you see it is important that our children hear the truth of Gods word so they can come to know Christ as their own personal Savior at a tender, young age. In this age when kids are neglected, abused, abandoned, overlooked and ignored, they all need to know that Jesus Christ loves them and cares for their soul. We at HBBC provide a warm, friendly, safe, and happy environment conductive to teaching children about our wonderful Savior and the other truths found in God's word. There are several areas of ministering to children that we are able to accomplish this goal.

First, we have a graded Bible Fellowship at 9:30am. Trained and caring teachers systematically teach God's word at each child's level of understanding. Often during this hour long learning time the children make crafts, sing songs, and learn memory verses to help them through the week.

Secondly, we currently have two children's churches. Our 4 year olds through first grade meet for Beginners church. Our 2nd graders meet in Primary church and our 3rd through 6th graders meet in Junior Church. We all meet for a time of music and celebration. Then the children are sent to their respective age groups to be challenged by God's word. Children's church includes a puppet presentation once a month. We also have a lively game time and the children can participate in making a craft. Occasionally, we will use character acting, chalk talks, flannel graphs, power point and object lessons to convey spiritual truths.


Thirdly, we have summer camps. JUNIOR CAMP a.k.a. "Splash" is for fourth through sixth grade and is held in Franklin, OH at Camp Chautauqua. Here speakers from around the country challenge kids to give their lives to Christ and live each day for God. Many lives have been transformed at Junior Camp. There is plenty to do with a bowling alley, basketball courts, volleyball, softball fields, and strange and crazy team games throughout the week. Family Storm is a three day event. It is for the entire family. There is lots of excitement and games for all to earn points for their team that week. It begins on Friday Night and concludes on Sunday afternoon with a huge carnival.


Olympian club is another ministry of HBBC. It is held on Wednesday nights during the school year. It has three areas we try to motivate and challenge children to live Godly lives. This is accomplished through Bible Time, Game Time, and Story Time. Book time is the time set aside for each child to earn badges for learning God's word and memorizing scriptures. Game time is designed to build character and teach cooperation through team oriented games. Story time is set aside to challenge and instruct the children through the teaching and preaching of God's word. It is exciting to see the kids growing spiritually as a result of Olympian Club. In the summer months we have a similar Wednesday night program to reach the children. Throughout the year we will have big fun days set aside for the children. This includes hayrides, bonfires, game nights, video presentation and roller skating.


Our desire at HBBC is to please our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ with all that we do. We desire to present well rounded teaching and activities that are sprinkled with fun and yet with a serious side in sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ.
